Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We want to assure you that we are here for you during this challenging time. As always, NIA remains committed to serving and assisting our community.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not currently accepting walk-in visitors or in-person appointments at our Main Office. However, NIA will continue to handle inquiries and issues over the phone and via email. Please email info@niabklyn.org or leave a message at 718-236-5266 and we will respond as soon as possible. For assistance with SNAP applications and recertifications, HEAP, and other social services, please email services@niabklyn.org or click the button under the Social Services Assistance section on NIA's official website (https://www.niabklyn.org/covid-19)
Following the Mayor's announcement that NYC public schools are closed for the rest of the school year, and in accordance with DYCD and other funding agencies, all NIA after school programs will also be closed until schools reopen. We will continue to communicate up-to-date information as we have it.
We also encourage you to check out our social media, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (@niabklyn), for further updates. Thank you for your understanding and support. We will continue to monitor the situation and focus on keeping our employees and communities healthy.
Stay safe and healthy!

Some of the staff at PS/IS 30 in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, an area deeply effected by COVID19, decided to send some joy & uptown funk to their students.
Our teachers, line staff & administration are dedicated to ensuring that our students continue their work uninterrupted and seamlessly.
Our goal at NIA/IS 30 is to deliver a seamless way for our students to interact with our teachers, educators and each other during this public health crisis.
We are adopting a distance-learning model with the safety of students being our top priority. After school provides unique learning experiences to help students reinforce their day school lessons, develop important life skills, and grow socially and emotionally. We want to continue to offer as many of these experiences as possible during these changing times.
